NaughtyConnect has recently shown up on the adult dating scene. I noticed that they are ranking extremely high when searching adult dating on Google so I wanted to take a closer look. This is an adult site so expect some graphic pictures and profiles. When I first went to NaughtyConnect, I noticed that the page felt very similar to AdultFriendFinder. Espcecially their slogan at the top that says, “Welcome to the Worlds Largest, Naughtiest. Adult Dating & Sex Personals.” It is a very similar slogan to AFF.

I made a free profile to snoop around a little more. After filling out the profile, the site seemed less and less like AFF. So I’m confident that this isn’t another front like Passion.com for AFF. Your personal profile can be as indepth or simple as you want. Pretty standard fields to fill out. Nothing out of the ordinary. You CANNOT get very far here as a free member. You must pay in order to contact others on this site. You are able to send winks without paying but you are limited to 10 per day so chose wisely who you would like to contact. This adult dating site is very limited to non-paying members. You are able to receive messages from paying members which is limited to 10 in your inbox at any time. If you want more, you’ll have to delete the ones you have to get more. Your free profile is valid for up to one year.

As a paying member you obviously get a lot more features. A lot of these features are free on other adult dating sites. Paying members get the following features that free members do not have access to.

It’s been a little while since we have taken a look at IwantU. If you are unfamiliar with them, I’ll give a very brief description. IwantU is an online dating site that has been around since 1996. When looking strictly at their traffic, they seem to be dropping slightly when looking at 3 month statistics. According to Alexa, their Global traffic ranking is about 12,000 and their US traffic ranking is almost 7,000. And to take an even closer look at where their traffic comes from, affiliates make up 22% of overall hits. That’s a huge piece. So let’s take a look at why……

Several factors are most likely responsible for such a big piece of their traffic coming from their affiliate dating program. One is that you can run your own “Private Label Dating Site.” What does this mean? It means you can have a exact replica of IwantU with your own domain name basically. This is pretty good if you are not sure if you would like to startup a dating website, or become a regular affiliate. It’s kind of in between the 2 options. Adultspace formaly know as Myadultspace has been retaining and attracting adults interested in meeting other adults for quite some time now. They first started a few years back, and hardly had any traffic. Their new adult member numbers are acutally lower over the last quarter than I expected, however, their current adult members are visiting 20% more pages this quarter. That’s a huge increase in pages. That means that current members are contacting each other way more frequently and checking each other out. That is definitely something you would want as an adult looking for other members to communicate with. Now this site is similar to a Myspace, but with a sexual, adult dating mentality. AdultSpace obviously has a ton of features. They really don’t have much of an issue with spamming problems or advertising. They do a little advertising themselves for a cam site, sexsearch, and fling. But other than that, it’s a pretty ad free adult dating community. Much like many other adult dating sites, they have more male members than female. This isn’t to say that there aren’t a large percentage of female members. There traffic based on Alexa today ranks them at 14,746 globally and 3,264 in the US with roughly 69% of their traffic coming from the United States.

AmateurMatch has been in the online adult dating business for quite some time. Since about 1999 to be more specific. They promote themselves as being a free dating site and they pretty much are for the most part. One feature they charge for is the live web cam which is understandable. It is pretty difficult to find a dating site or any site for that matter that offers free live web cam services. Another feature that is blocked off to non-premium members, is the x-rated videos. Again, this is uderstandable because at that point, you are just getting porn, not online dating benefits. They have something for all users which is a little different and that is Sex Games. They are not really for dating purposes, but more for entertainment. Pretty much just some traditional games with a sexual twist. Instant messaging is allowed between free members as well.

Their traffic ranking among other adult dating sites is much better than I thought it would be. On Alexa, they have a global ranking of 1,825 and a very impressive US ranking of 623! This puts them up there with adult dating sites like fling, hornymatches, and others. Again, I was not expecting such strong numbers from Amateur Match. I would have to say, this adult site looks to be worth its members while. Expecially for the non-paying visitors.

Big news in the internet dating world. Adultfriendfinder has been bought for $500 million. And not just by anybody. By Penthouse. What does this mean? Nobody really knows, but it will definitley change the site around a bit I’m sure. As the largest dating site on the internet for quite some time, AFF has built up quite a reputation for themselves. And it looks like a major porn magazine noticed and thinks they can make some money from it. AFF stated that they have some 1.2 million members!!! That’s a ton. I’m sure Penthouse will be heavily pushing its magazine on the dating giant’s current members. Another question is what will happen to the current affiliates that promote the adult dating site? As of right now, their payout options are not the highest, but the do have some great banners and promotional material for their webmasters to use. As far as an income standpoint, if Penthouse can keep this dating site going for a few years, it will definitely pay for its investment and then some. I guess the owners have made enough money and can never have to think about work again after making this sale.

I have to say that I am impressed by Fling . They have quite few options for free members than most dating sites. You actually dont even have to be a member to be able to use all of their services. You can browse a lot of profiles and even get in on a Video Chat without even signing up. You are just accessing it as a guest. Now it is not a free one-on-one chat, but the girl is actually there. Not just a fake chick with pre-written responses. There a lot more options once you are inside after signing up as a free member. If you really do want to be able to use all the features of this very ADULT site, you will eventually need to become a paying member. If you look on the message boards of existing users, you will see some complaints from all sorts of things so I would read those just to see what they are talking about.

I’ll say it again that this is an adult dating site. So if you want something clean and geared towards marriage, I wouldn’t waste your time here. At Fling you are pretty much going to find naked pics of people looking to hookup or exchange some x-rated pictures with a little video chat.

A great follow up of this post would be to compare another competing dating sites numbers. The only problem is I’m not sure how many other sites break down their users as in-depth as AFF does. If this kind of information is accessible, I’ll make a page and display the numbers to as many popular dating sites as possible.

I notice on many other blogs that talk about online dating websites, they usually put a list of the top 5 dating sites or so. Usually a few always make the list. But, most have one or two that seem to be out of place. They are not very big, most of the time unheard of, and have a very poor alexa rating. I know that they aren’t basing their preferences off the same I am, but to me some of their recommendations just dont make sense. I personally think that the bigger the dating site, the better your chances are of finding singles in your area, based purely on statistics. If you join 2 sites, and one has 5,000 singles in your area, and the other has 25,000 in your city, the odds of finding someone would appear to be greater on the site with more singles. Now quality always plays a role when dealing with dating sites. I also noticed that terrible sites dont do as well as good ones. So you’ll never see a poor quality dating site with an alexa rating of under 1,000 or so. People will chose a better site when there is one available. Now just because these sites are the biggest in the US does not mean that there aren’t others that are bigger overall. But these are some of the biggest sites are far as alexa ratings go, which is saying how many people visit their website. Remember that a lower rating is better. Google’s rating is 1 in the US for example. Like I said in previous posts, there are constantly new sites coming out, so you’ll have to excuse me if I left out any major sites.

I have noticed that there all lot of different types of dating sites out there. I pretty much put them into two categories. Adult dating or Online dating. I classify sites as adult dating because of the content, url, and what the members are looking for. So, on an adult dating site you would see naked pictures of the members, maybe a suggestive url such as hornymatches.com, and the members will most likely all have the options checked that suggest they are looking for sex, flings, threesomes and things like that.

Now for the online dating sites, I am classifying them as “clean” sites. Sites that do not have naked pictures and sometimes not even sexually suggestive pictures. A good example is match.com. They are about as clean as it gets. People on there do not even have the option to check boxes that say they are looking for sexual encounters or to be tied up. They are looking for friendship, long-term relationships, and so forth.

Now everyone knows that on both types of dating sites, all the members want to hookup at some point. It’s just that on one site thats all they want mostly, and the others want the relationship stuff as well. So you just have to look at the two and decide what you are really trying to get out of the site. Hookups with no phone calls the next day, or dinner and a movie and hopefully a relationship builds out of it???
