It’s been only 2 months since my initial post about UsearchLocal.com and based on their increase in traffic and online dating presence, I think it’s time to give it another look.  The site still feels the same for the most part, but Usearchlocal is definitely getting noticed primarily by their promotional efforts on Singlesnet.

As stated in my previous post about 2.5 months ago, Usearchlocal is heavily promoted by Singlesnet.com and operates pretty much the same.  Once you get past the initial signup page, the members area, search options, and contact options are all the same.  The free membership and paid membership features are also the same as Singles Net.  However, if you create a personal ad on U search Local you will not be communication with Singles Net members which is pretty common when a dating site starts another one that looks so similar.  You are strictly communicating with members of Useachlocal only.  And that’s a good thing because otherwise, there wouldn’t be any use to have a profile on both sites.

What’s most impressive to me would have to be the continual increase in members and traffic that Usearchlocal.com has been seeing roughly over the last 6 months.  In my previous post, their 3 month increase was several hundred percent and they are continuing to beef up their traffic, pagerank, and visibility in the online dating world.  Below you will find the updated traffic statistics from Alexa for Usearchlocal as of today.

Usearchlocal.com is brand new online dating website.  You can create a free profile an instantly begin searching and interacting with 13 million members.  But wait, this site seems pretty familiar???

That’s because when you join Usearchlocal.com, you are joining the same members that are currently on Singlenset.com.  The signup and members area is exactly the same as Singlesnet.  The features are all there as well.  Now, if you create a personal profile on Usearchlocal, you will not be able to log in at Singlenset.  This site is starting to appear in search engines and on other sites in the form of banner advertisements.

Lets take a look at how Usearchlocal is doing based on Alex traffic rankings.

100% Real Profiles and Fast Hookups is their tagline.  SexInYourCity is definitely an Adult Dating website.  Their logo is similar to the Sex In the City logo, just like the name of the site.  Sex In Your City is a very new dating site that I hadn’t heard much of.  You won’t find a lot of ads for this site on the internet but I expect it to get a lot more attention in the future.

One thing that I like about this dating site it the “homepage” for your ad.  The homepage gives you a nice summary of the activity your account has recently received.  It displays the last 10 flirts other members sent you, a brief summary of the last 4 or so messages, a friend request counter, your hotlist, online members, featured members, new members, and members who viewed your profile.  I especially like the “members who viewed your profile” section.

Sex In Your City has some free content that you won’t find on most adult dating sites.  One feature is their videos section.  This section pretty much features x-rated videos that are supposed to be of members on the site.  For the most part, they seem to be promotional for some of the largest adult sites on the internet and are much higher quality than someone with a home camera.  The videos seem to be advertisements for some sites and basically just some free content for members of SexInYouCity.com.

One feature of Sex In Your City is “become a featured member.”  The only criteria for becoming a featured member of the site is that you have a picture on your profile.  Featured members are listed on the right hand column of the site and get a lot more exposure than standard members.  Featured ads are removed the “featured” section after a couple months.  I’m assuming they do that so other users get a chance to get more exposure.

Again, I think its important to take a look at traffic rankings.  And as always, I use Alexa.  Sites are ranked based on page visits and number of visitors.  The lower the number the better.

Plentyoffish.com is a free online dating website that has been around for several years. They have a lot of members and the site has been steadily improving. I posted an ad here to see what the site’s all about and it seems decent for being completely free.

Their slogan is “100% Free. Put away your credit card.” And that’s true. At no point will you be asked to upgrade to a paying membership. The option isn’t even available. The profile can be pretty lengthy if you choose to fill out a couple of their questionnaires. I would recommend that you do if you are serious about finding someone for a serious relationship. If you are after casual dates, than it might not be necessary to spend all that time.

The first survey you are asked to fill out is the 50 question “Chemistry Predictor.” It isn’t too lengthy and will most likely help you in your search for possible matches. The other assessment is very lengthy and time consuming. It’s a 100 question, “Needs Assessment.” I would block off 30 minutes to go through this part.

After you’ve made your profile and filled out the necessary assessments, you are ready to start finding your matches. You can search PlentyofFish profiles by compatibility, location, and several other options. Plentyoffish has tons of members so don’t be afraid to be a tough screener. Once you find likely candidates you can IM them if they’re online, or send messages. As far as I can tell you aren’t limited on how many messages you can send or receive per day. Within the first 10 minutes of having my profile up I already had 2 responses and I hadn’t even put up a picture yet! That’s a good sign and lets you know that the site has members who are actively searching other profiles.

I always like to check out how much traffic dating sites get by looking at Alexa rankings. The lower the number the better. Keep in mind that Google’s Global Alexa ranking is 2 and US Alexa ranking is 1.

WooMe.com is a new video dating website that is getting a lot of attention. This site is like Facebook with webcams. It is labeled as a dating website but seems more like a social hangout. Woome has some pretty cool features and is picking up tons of hits. I first noticed WooMe when I saw their banner advertisement on Facebook.

Woome definitely has a new cool spin on online dating/video dating/social networking. It hardly takes any time at all to make a profile and it’s free as far as I can tell so far. The only real setbacks are that you’ll need a webcam and microphone on your computer to be able to use the features of the site. If you don’t have the proper equipment, you really won’t be able to enjoy all the site has to offer.

So how does WooMe work? It’s very simple. After you create a profile you do a quick test to check for your webcam and microphone. Once that is detected you are ready to start enjoying the video/voice features of the site. The next step would most likely be to do search for the type of people you are looking for. Once you have your search results you can check out users profiles and see what they’re all about. Users create what are called “sessions” which is really a scheduled time to be online and on their webcam. You can join these sessions and interact with other members live via webcam and microphone. It really is pretty cool. Sessions can be private or include multiple users. You can also create a session for yourself and invite others to join, or wait for them to find it and join on their own.

I really think that this site has a lot of potential. There obviously is a huge demand for internet users to meet and communicate online and WooMe.com has a great way of doing it. Again, the only setback is having access to a computer with a microphone and webcam. But with technology moving so fast, those are included on many laptops today and can be purchased for a reasonable price at many electronic stores.

For being so new, I have to say that WooMe.com has some pretty good traffic stats on Alexa. Here are where they place in terms of Alexa traffic rankings.

Global: 19,508

US: 4,657

If you look at their traffic over the past 3 months, you’ll see that their internet user reach has increased by 72% and they have jumped about 14,000 spots on their global ranking.

Adultspace.com really has increased their “adult dating” advertisements. They are heavily promoting SexSearch, Fling, and as before, AmateurMatch. If you don’t mind the advertisements all over the site, you’ll find some other unique features. A great way to look through a lot of profiles is the “Rate User” page. You can thumb through tons of users without spending a lot of time.

AdultSpace’s traffic rankings have really improved over the last 3 months when looking at Alexa. Here are some traffic numbers for the past 3 months.

Global Alexa Ranking: 13,210

Loaded Cash is a relatively newer affiliate program. Their main sites affiliates chose to promote include Camazon.com, SexPlayCam.com, and xxxBlackBook.com. Loaded Cash’s sites are all adult dating sites that feature web cams for their members. The typical sale here pays out $35 to the affiliate. There are other per click, or rev share options available.

Commission Junction might be one of the most widely know affiliate program available on the internet. You aren’t actually promoting Commission Junction. They have information about thousands of affiliate programs. They’ve got a lot of “Match Making” affiliate programs available. The biggest sites available at Commission Junction are PerfectMatch.com, eHarmony.com, Lavalife.com, Singlesnet.com, and Match.com. Payouts for these programs vary quite a bit. You can get paid by sale, lead, or click. The ranges vary so if you are interested I would recommend singing up and researching the differences in their affiliate programs.

Huge Traffic is the affiliate program you’d need to join in order to promote Fling.com. Fling is the only site they have. Huge Traffic has lots of free web master tools to help you generate traffic. Fling is a pretty large site that go popular pretty quickly. Huge Traffic currently pays $35/sale with other options for rev sharing and pay per click programs.

Pimp Mansion is another great affiliate program. Here you have access to LonelyWivesAffairs.com and their biggest site, HornyMatches.com. Hornymatches is one of the top adult dating sites in the world. Pimp Mansion has a point system which as you bring in sales, you’ll earn points towards prizes which include, computers, gift certificates, TVs, and many others. Pimp Mansion pays on average about $40/sale. The actual dollar amount varies since there are different levels users can join.

Again, I’d like to go over some helpful tips to make your online dating experience worth your time. A common mistake for people is not researching the right kinds of dating sites. In other posts I’ve talked about choosing the right site, which was more specific in terms of the actual website. I’d like to focus more on the initial “targeting” of you needs and then go from there.

Start With Yourself
Before throwing a personal ad on the internet looking for Mr./Mrs. Right, you should stop and think about what your characteristics, qualities, likes, dislikes, hobbies, pet peeves, career goals, life goals, and anything else you think makes you, you. With all the “matchmaking” technology on these dating sites, by better describing yourself, you can make it much easier to compare your interests with those of others. Instead of saying you like sports, say what sports. If you like to exercise, be specific. “I enjoy jogging” or “I love to tennis.” Some of these sites charge a pretty decent monthly fee to be a member so it’s best you make your profile specific enough that the “matching system” will connect you with quality potential matches.

Find the Site You Want to Date
If the site were a person, would you be interested in dating someone with those characteristics? Dating sites are differentiating themselves more and more as they become more popular. And their selling points/characteristics are becoming more distinct. You can find a site for your specific religion, income, geographic location, wild side, sexual needs, webcam users, fetishes, and more. Some people find sites that are free or inexpensive and have all sorts of people on it. If you were a looking for a long-term relationship, you wouldn’t go to your friend’s swingers party looking for Mr./Mrs. Right. The key is putting yourself in a situation where you can find what you are looking for. So again, find a site that has characteristics of what you are looking for.

Take Action
I won’t spend too much time on this simply because this topic will be discussed in following posts. Once you’ve matched up your characteristics and wants with a site and joined, it’s time to take action. You will find that by being active on the site and doing the searching yourself instead of waiting for someone to find you, you will find more of the types of matches you are looking for.
