Chemistry has been showing up more and more lately. Maybe you have noticed their recent marketing push which is aimed at eHarmony. Their new commercials point out that many online daters are “Rejected” by eHarmony.

One thing that the new Chemistry ads do not say is that it is owned by Match.com. This is not surprising when you look at both and the features. Both are what you consider “matchmaking” dating sites. I initially wanted to make a profile on Match, Chemistry, and eHarmony to compare all three. The only problem with that is that they are all pay sites of about $40/month. Pretty much all of them have some sort of promotion running, but that is the basic cost to join.

As far as website traffic in the United States is concerned, Match is the most popular, followed by eHarmony, and Chemistry is last. The US rankings on Alexa are as follows for the United States.

It’s no secret that online dating has become an incredibly popular method for dating. You see advertisements all over the place. Sexsearch.com claims to have over 15 million members which is definitely possible since they have been around for quite some time now. They are definitely an adult dating site so be ready for x-rated content here. If you are looking for a more “match” based site, this is not the one for you. This dating site has a lot of focus on members hooking up. One uniquefeature is the “Ask Jenna Jameson” option. I’m not sure how many questions are really answered by her, but it’s a fun idea.

Without paying, you will not be able to contact all members. To be able to send emails to members you wil have to signup as a paid member. Their current promotion is that if you signup now, you’ll get free access to “The Gold Room” which is a porn website with movies, live shows, and stories. Singlesnet.com in widely know in the online dating world. If you have not run into them at least a couple times, you haven’t been looking for online dating sites. They have experienced tremendous growth over the last couple of years. I know they used to promote very heavily on Myspace and some other sites which contributed to their recent success. Let’s go throught their site and see what they have to offer and at what price.

You will need to signup with an email address of course. They also have a verification on the first signup page which lets you know that they might have had problems with fake advertisement ads being posted. You are asked pretty standard questions about yourself, and then asked if you would consider dating someone who had put the opposite of your response. It’s hard to go a day anymore without hearing the phrase, “Online Dating.” It’s everywhere. TV, radio, newspapers, magazines, and of course the internet all seem to be promoting websites designed to help people find dates, sex, or a long-term companions. Why are these sites so popular? Who uses them? Where is the world of online dating headed? All these questions will be answered or at least discussed.

Before the internet and the booming popular of online dating sites, people had few options in how they could find potential candidates for relationships and dating. The traditional way would be to meet someone face-to-face and ask them out, or simply introduce yourself. Or, there were personals sections of the newspaper which was usually perceived as a very desperate attempt at finding someone. Another option which is still relatively popular today is a dating agency. These companies have a database of individuals with personality profiles that they can match with others that might be of interest. This option is probably the most expensive, and you still have the dreaded personal embarrassment of walking in the door of one of these agencies and admitting that you are unable to find what you are looking for without professional help.

This takes us to the World Wide Web. The internet takes away much of the humiliation and vitually all chances of being recognized by peers. You are able to create your own personal ad that doesn’t ever require a picture most times. You also don’t have to use your real name, or a name remotely similar to yours. But I would have to say, the biggest advantage of online dating is you are not faced with such personal rejection that you may run into when approaching someone at a bar. I know we’ve previously gone through the online dating site JustSayHi.com, but I wanted to check it out again and see if there had been any changes go a little more in depth to searching for singles on the site.

When I first checked out JustSayHi, I posted an ad pretty quickly and noticed it was a 100% free online dating site. This is still true and I doubt that it will ever change. This is a very clean site. No nude pics, or live sex cams or anything like that here. I would describe JustSayHi as a bridge between sites like Facebook and Match.com or something. Its a very low key introduction to the online dating world which I like. This way, timid singles can have a low pressure site to start testing the waters on and see what it’s like to meet people online for dating purposes.

The first day I joined I sent a messge to 1 girl and pretty quickly got a legit response. Not a bs message or anything like that. So today I want to explore a little more on JustSayHi and see if there seem to be more members, features, or anthing else that we should be aware of.

I remember there being a pretty good number of people on the site last time. So I just searched for females with 50 miles of my ad in a medium sized city in the midwest. I am pretty surprised with the number of responses it returned. I used the gallery view which displays 30 ads per page. The search returned 17 pages. AdultMatchDoctor.com has been in the adult dating world for a little while so I thought we should take a look. One their homepage I noticed a slogan. It says, “100% free to contact, flirt, connect, and get laid!” So I want to check it out and see how true that statement is as far being a Free Dating Site . First, lets go through the ad posting process and see what it entails.

After the very first page, you have a 5-step post to complete your adult dating ad. The 5 steps are as follows.

It’s time to review True.com. True came on to the online dating scene a few years ago. You used to see a lot of advertisements for their site on places like Myspace, but they have slowed down with their banners it seems. Now they rank very high on google for “online dating” and pay to be a featured search result most times. Lets take a closer look at the site, and what they have to offer their members or surfers who are considering making a dating profile.

As usual, when checking out a dating site I like to go throught the process of creating a free profile. If you are more interested in seeing what features are offered and traffic rankings, jump down a few paragraphs. When you click “Join Now” they want you to search first, and see all the results that come up for your specific location. Once you get the results page, a pop-up will ask you to create your profile. The first page is not bad at all. Very standard fields to fill out. To keep you motivated to fill out all 5 pages, in the top right corner, they’ll tell you how many matches they have found so far based on your profile. Mine said they found over 30,000 so far. Must be a large site.

By the second page, I had lost 4,000 matches. The next page goes over your physical appearence and what your ideal matches physical appearence. Again, pretty basic questions that you would expect to answer on every dating site you encounter. After filling out the second page, I had lost 6,000 more matches and I wasn’t being too particular. The next page goes into your nationality and religion and what your matches should be. Again, I wan’t too particular, but did somehow lose 16,000 matches which brings me down to 4,000. Some people must be pretty particular about nationality and religion.

The next page is about your education, career, income, and social habits. At first, 5 pages for an online dating ad seemed to be on the high side, but each page pretty much only has 2 questions on it about you and then corresponding questions for the person you are looking for. After that last page, I was down to 865 matches. Now we are to the last of the 5 pages. The only questions on this page are if you have ever been married, do you have kids, and do you want kids.

Now the profile we just setup is free. After creating it, you are prompted to enter your credit card information to be able to start your full free 7 day trial. This means that without entering your credit care, you are unable to email and chat with other members. You can still read mail that you may get, but you cannot reply. The only things you can do without entering your credit card are view other profiles, and send winks. Now since the first 7 days are free, you really dont have anything to lose if you do try it out. Iwantu.com has another great feature that I haven’t heard much about. That feature is their online magazine. IwantU allows any internet sufer access to their articles without having to signup for their dating site. If you want to leave comments or chat about the articles you’ve read, you’ll need to join.
